Climate Change Impacts - NVQ ProQual Level 3

WHAT TO EXPECT?
👶 Two one day workshops, total qualification time is 20 hours including 15 Guided Learning hours. It counts as1 standard level 3 credit.

You will gain an understanding of what climate change impacts are, and where you can find robust climate change information. This includes understanding how to respond to this information despite the unavoidable uncertainty within future climate change predictions.

By the end of the course you will be able to
Describe the potential impacts of a changing climate
Understand the importance and application of developing strategic approaches to a Changing Climate
Describe approaches to developing Climate Change resilience and explain the desired outcomes
Understand the systemic interdependencies related to a Changing Climate
Understand the effect of Climate Change on Risk and Resilience strategy
Understand the principles of how to implement, improve and communicate a Climate change Resilience plan.


⭐ This course is formally assessed. To gain the NVQ qualification you will need to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding against the qualification standards by submitting course work evidence which demonstrates your achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit.

😀 Who is it for?​
 
✔️ There are no formal entry requirements. We will carry out an initial assessment of your kills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

✔️Suitable for all types of organisation this course is for  practitioners whose activities may be impacted by a changing climate. The qualification addresses the practical competencies required for the effective delivery of climate resilient actions.
✔️ You will appreciate how the impacts of a changing climate can be addressed through your actions (from short-term outcomes involving current climate, to long-term outcomes involving future climate change predictions).
✔️Become a more effective influencer by knowing how your experience of delivering climate resilient actions can be used to inform the strategic direction of your organisation e.g through providing evidence to managers, regulators and other stakeholders, and insights into the key elements needed in communicating your delivery experience.

✔️Upon successful completion of their qualification, learners are able to progress to further learning within the suite of Level 5 Qualifications – i.e. completing an Award or Certificate and topping up to Foundation Degree and on to Honours Degree.

Each 1 day session will take place virtually. The course is highly interactive and each day includes lectures, discussion groups and simulated exercises to build your learning.
